One of the most versatile actors in Indian cinema and one of the most respected individuals in the film fraternity, Irrfan Khan has passed away today, in Mumbai. He was 53. He was admitted to Mumbai Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital due to a colon infection. In 2018, he was diagnosed with rare cancer and since then, had been under medical attention for the same. Irrfan acted in more than 100 films including Bollywood hits like Maqbool, Lunchbox, Piku, and Paan Singh Tomar. His movies in the English language included Life of Pi, Jurassic World, The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, and the Inferno. His latest release was Angrezi Medium, which marked his strong comeback irrespective of his ailing condition. An actor of immense calibre, Irrfan khan truly has left behind a legacy of his own.
